Reading the season page

What the phase bars, the Fitness curve and the race cards are telling you.

The season page (/athlete/<public_id>/season/) is the whole year on one screen: what block you're in, whether fitness is heading the right way, and what's still missing before each race.

The phase bars

The bars are your actual plan, not a guess. Grepiac reads them from, in order:

  1. your annual plan, if one is active — the bars then carry your coach's own mesocycle names ("Tallinn build") and hovering shows how many weeks the block runs;
  2. the training plan you're subscribed to, if there's no annual plan;
  3. failing both, an estimate from your race dates — clearly labelled as such, because that shape is a textbook build rather than anything anyone wrote for you.

A week that Grepiac can't place in a phase is left blank rather than guessed at, so a gap in the bars means "no phase recorded here", not "rest week".

Colours group by intent, so the legend reads the same whichever periodisation model your coach uses: blue is aerobic work (Base, Endurance), orange is sustained hard work (Build, Threshold), red is sharpening and racing (Peak, VO₂, Race), purple is taper, green is recovery.

The banner

The number is calendar weeks to your next A race (or your next race if no A is set), and beside it the block you're in right now — "Threshold · week 4 of 4".

Fitness & Weekly Load

The blue line is Fitness. Solid up to today, from sessions you've actually done; dashed after today, showing where fitness lands if you follow the plan as scheduled. The two halves join at today — they're one line, not two.

If nothing is planned ahead, the dashed part is simply omitted. An empty plan would decay toward zero and read as "you're about to lose all your fitness", which isn't what it means.

Under it, each week shows planned load (pale) against actual load (solid). Future weeks show planned only.

Upcoming race cards repeat the number that matters: "If the plan is followed: Fitness 78, Form +12 on race day."

Race cards

Coaches see one extra line per registry-linked race with how that field performed — median finish, DNF rate, and a badge if that edition ran hot or stormy. It's marked coach only: athletes don't see it.

Notes & key dates

Under the timeline, each month has a card where you can add the things that shape a season but aren't sessions:

Coach and athlete can both add markers, and each one is tagged with who added it. Either of you can tick — so you can check off the test your coach put in the calendar. Editing and deleting stay with whoever wrote the marker (your coach can also tidy up anything on your season).

A span that crosses a month boundary appears under both months, with « or » showing that it carries on either side. It's one trip, listed twice, not two.
